John, born 1929 in Paris, although with dual passports, he was Irish. He lived in Battersea and the East End of London during the war.

 

John joined the Royal Academy in the 1950's and painted ever since then. John was not interested in exhibiting his work, just painting all styles and subjects.

 

John Ewing died aged 91 at the end of 2019 as a result of old age, he painted until 1 month before his death.
